Cone Eclectic

Local couple makes a big impact on Downtown Adel's revitalization initiative

Congratulations to Cone Eclectic for being selected as the Chamber's STAR Member of the Week spotlight for the week of September 13th. This recognition is presented by the Small Business Development Committee to highlight an active business member or organization in our community. Kim Cone is the proud owner of Cone Eclectic, a unique retail shop located in Downtown Adel.  Cone Eclectic originally began within the office of Cone Electric (owned by husband, Eric Cone) in November of 2017.  In early 2020, the two businesses relocated to 105 S Burwell Avenue where they completely renovated the historic building that had been vacant for years.  Cone Eclectic offers a variety of gift items including jewelry, purses, kitchen and home décor, pillows, Bibles, ADEL Reserve coffee, and much more.  They also house local vendors such as Bee-lieve Apiaries, My Heart Desire, embroidered canvas created by Marley Cone, and books by local author Sarah Bostic to provide retail space for their products as well. You can find a variety of light fixtures throughout the store. Cone Eclectic now offers custom framing, done by Robert Register, as a newly added service to the Adel-Cook County area in addition to wedding registries.  Stop by Cone Eclectic Tuesdays-Fridays from 10:00 am-6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 am-2:00 p.m. Owner Kim Cone was joined by family and Chamber representation for the presentation.  Pictured l. to r.: SBDC Chairman Thomas Williams, Robert Register (Kim’s dad & custom framer), Daughter Lucie Cone, Kim & Eric, Chamber Board Members Matt Bennett, Shamika Durden, Lea Hazel and Chamber President Heather Green. Not pictured were Marley Cone and Nathan Cone.
