FLOCC 2017

13 Future Leaders of Cook County (FLOCC), graduated Friday, July 14, 2017, after having completed five intensive days of community leadership classes and community field trips.  This program is part of UGA's Fanning Institute's Youth Leadership in Action series and is an education and leadership course presented by the Adel-Cook County Chamber of Commerce.
Leaders from throughout the county conducted challenging team building and leadership exercises for the FLOCC students during day-long sessions held from July 10 through July 14.  The 13 participants are all entering either the 8th or 9th grades this fall.
Members of the FLOCC class of 2017 were taught team building, how to take charge, communicating with others, appreciating differences, goal setting and managing conflict.  The core objective of the program is to challenge paticipants to exercise leadership in their daily lives.
The program is administered by the management and staff of the Adel-Cook Chamber of Commerce under the auspices of the Chamber's Education Committee, Holly Greene, Chairman. FLOCC is part of the Adel-Cook Chamber's ongoing education and leadership development initiatives.  For more information visit: adelcookchamber.org
The Chamber would like to thank everyone who made this program possible, including the University of Georgia Extension Service, Cook County School System and our facilitators.
